Redesigning Kawasaki 85Z7: a new quality is born

Lately, the Kawasaki’s engineers have redesigned the Kawasaki 957Z wheel loader in order to meet EPA Tier 4 Interim emission standards. The whole process was also aimed at improving the operating efficiency and productivity. As a result, the 388-hp machine has been equipped with a 7.3-cubic-yard bucket and got a brand new look, with a hood design that improves rear visibility and the general usability. 

The vehicle’s 16-liter Isuzu 6WG1 diesel engine remains largest in its class and the big, planetary automatic -shift transmission has the automotive-like smooth shifting from pulse width modulation in the control valve. The Kawasaki 957Z also features a lock-up torque converter that is going to boost performance and the fuel economy. 

The machine uses the IntelliTech System that applies the inputs from the vehicle to adjust the performance and match the conditions. While many operations are automatic, other are left for the operator to select functions necessary for the application or the working process. The improvements include the diagnostic system as well – now it allows more detailed data and gives the quick access to troublesome issues.
